Conferencia General es Super Bowl Sunday in the Mission-Connor's Week 65

April 4, 2016

Hey Friends and Fam,
Well let's just get right to it. I loved conference! I watched most of it in Spanish because we had investigadores in every session except for the last session! 6 investigadores came; unfortunately I will only be baptizing 2 of them in these upcoming weeks because the rest are MY ETERNAL INVESTIGADORES THAT KNOW THE CHURCH IS TRUE BUT CAN'T GET BAPTIZED!!!! Anyway, I loved conference! There's really just no adequate way to describe general conference as a missionary, it's something I looked forward to all week!
Speaking of the week, the 29th was Día de Jóvenes Combatientes and we had to be in our pension at 7 because well... the communist come out and start burning tires and causing mayhem in the streets. The worst part is that we live super close to La Victoria so we heard gunshots for most of the night. The Elders in my district saw a gang shoot their guns in plain daylight that day as well because a gang member was shot and killed and that's the way they hold their funerals... acting like idiots.
I gotta say that my favorite talk was by Elder Holland. I just flat out love that guy. His talk was right on and it was the perfect way to end conference! I also thought a lot about grandma and grandpa Weaver in the   Was a Stranger" announcement. It's awesome to hear about the Iranian woman and her son that they have taken into their home! Grandma and Grandpa Weaver never cease to impress me. I love my family, you all are just such great people... but we can all be even better!
We will be having a baptism this weekend with Victor! This guy was a contact we had about 4 weeks ago, and he loves the church! It's unreal the miracles I'm seeing as I finish out this change in Villa Sur! Lots of work to still get done, and I hope that Elder Cachari doesn't step off the gas when I leave!
We had interviews with Presidente and I loved it! We talked a lot about the ward, and he just motivated me even more to keep working hard. He said "9 meses más Elder Weaver, hay que dar todo." Lo haré Presidente!
VAMOS A BAUTIZAR HOMIES! Read your scriptures and listen to conference again. I know Jesus Christ through living Prophets and Apostles guides this church! I love this Church and I love my Savior and I love the joy this gospel brings to everyone!
I also love my Haitians. Pray for the Haitians.
I got my haircut by Colombianos de Cali last week, and I definitely was not cool enough to enter into that place, but I love the way they talk and the way they cut hair.

Que Estén Bien! Les quiero mucho mis homies.

I love my Haitianos!
